Obama’s support of gay marriage won’t make much difference – since marriage laws are the purview of individual states. But yes, the homophobe bigots will do anything to interfere with gay civil rights. A number of states want to force women seeking an abortion to undergo invasive ultrasound probes, so if the state governments (mostly men) think they have certain rights over women’s bodies, why shouldn’t they have certain rights over gay people’s minds too?

They could conceivably declare homosexuality a mental illness, and ban psychologists and social workers from treating man/man or woman/woman relationship conflicts, since in their twisted minds, it would be promoting mental illness.

As to "gay marriage counseling" if "gay marriage" is a norm what difference would it make to anyone whether or not they would be "counseled" in it? I do not understand the point of the question.

Well gay marriage will never and can never exist because marriage is a religious thing from God and God himself has come out against it so there is nothing obama or his Liberals can come up with that would change that…. but if what you are asking about is gay unions… well I would think so if there is more people choosing to be gay and wanting to live with each other… I would think they would have a lot of problems they wan to talk about.

Just a simple numbers issue.

Gay counseling will increase, it's called $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. In divorces everything goes to the female, a male is lucky if he walks out wearing his underware. What does a judge do if 2 guys are getting divorced because he can't give everything to the female.

Last time I checked, the President declaring anything OK, or not, does not settle the issue. Only a college student who has been educated in liberal public schools would believe that a president making a statement about what he personally believes is OK settles that matter. Of course, you also only think that because it is Obama who is saying it.

i saw on tv this woman who proposed to her boyfriend right before jumping off a plane to skydive! poor guy, he looked a little scared and like he didn't have time to think but he said yes
