Let’s all eat at Chick-Fil-A this week
Now the Socialists (AKA Obama Democrats) have targeted Chick-Fil-A, a Southern based company with the below resume..
I think, I’ll have a Chick-Fil-A sandwich tomorrow.
See below.
Chick-fil-A is an American success story. Founded by Georgian entrepreneur Truett Cathy in 1946, the family-owned chicken-sandwich chain is one of the country’s largest fast-food businesses. It employs some 50,000 workers across the country at 1,500 outlets in nearly 40 states and the District of Columbia … The company generates more than $2 billion in revenue and serves millions of happy customers with trademark Southern hospitality.
So, what’s the problem? Well, Chick-fil-A is run by devout Christians who believe in strong marriages, devoted families, and the highest standards of character for their workers. The restaurant chain’s official corporate mission is to "glorify God" and "enrich the lives of everyone we touch.." The company’s community-service initiatives, funded through its WinShape Foundation, support foster-care, scholarship, summer-camp, and marriage-enrichment programs. On Sunday, all Chick-fil-A stores close so workers can spend the day at worship and rest.
Over the past month, several progressive-activist blogs have waged an ugly war against Chick-fil-A. The company’s alleged atrocity: One of its independent outlets in Pennsylvania donated some sandwiches and brownies to a marriage seminar run by the Pennsylvania Family Institute, which happens to oppose same-sex marriage.
In the name of tolerance, the anti-Chick-fil-A hawks sneered at the company’s main product as "Jesus Chicken," derided its no-Sunday-work policy, and attacked its operators as "anti-gay." Petition drives on websites are demanding the company change and disavow their standards. Facebook users dutifully organized witch hunts against the company on college campuses.
Progressive groups are gloating over Chick-fil-A’s public-relations troubles. This is not because they care about winning hearts and minds over gay rights or marriage policy, but because their core objective is to marginalize political opponents and chill Christian philanthropy and activism.. The fearsome "muscle flexing" is being done by the hysterical bullies trying to drive them off of college grounds and out of their neighborhoods in the name of "human rights."

The Democrats are intolerant, hateful, self-righteous, arrogant, elitists. Yes, this is what they have become. Incidentally, chick-fil-a is one of the two best fast-food chains in america, and if liberals don’t eat there it’ll just be that much easier to keep the restaurants clean and safe for kids.

Do you dare to go off the beaten track to open up a whole new world of challenges?
I have posted this question in the senior category, but would like to know the response here.
I went into the senior category and read some old YA Q&A links after links to search for enrichment. There was a question that asked about the pro and con for the seniors to re-marry. Some answers were down right honest which suggested that their current marriages were already a death sentence and no way they would go for another one. Some suggested they wouldn’t for financial reasons.
My question is: is it too much, too little and too late now for a senior to dare to go off the beaten track to open up a whole new world of challenges when his current marriage has become a death sentence? What if you have inadvertently met someone who you think will bring happiness to your late life? What if you feel you are wasting away the last bit left in your twilight years if you stay on with the current marriage? What if for financial reasons that you may end up a destitute without your current spouse, would you still dare to go off the beaten track..? And what if..
Very little is needed to make a happy life but only you can define your specific needs and whether or not you personally should take a different pathway (off the beaten track). No one controls your happiness but you; therefore, you are the only one that has the power to change your life or anything about yourself or life circumstances that you want to change.
If your marriage is a death sentence, then it is never to late at whatever age to seek a reprieve from such a dreadful sentence. Living a life with less material wealth may have to be a trade off for living a life more full of love.
To use proverbial expressions – time flies by, you only have one life to live, and you’re not getting any younger.
To quote William James, "Happiness comes of the capacity to feel deeply, to enjoy simply, to think freely, to risk life, to be needed."
To quote Thomas Jefferson, "We never enjoy perfect happiness; our most fortunate successes are mingled with sadness; some anxieties always perplex the reality of our satisfaction."
But, to be honest suffering deep poverty in my youth, then financial success as an adult, then having the painful experience of losing everything material, and now being on a fixed income suffering a modest poverty in my senior years – it is easier, if not absolutely necessary, to be happy with money. So I must also quote Fred Adler to be fair "Happiness is a positive cash flow." This is even more true for couples.

It appears your happier match may not be as financially dependable. But living a death sentence is worse. Should hard times result from this new happier possibility, you will merely have spent those coming years happily instead of unhappily, and sacrificed nothing for it. A sacrifice is giving something of value for something of no value. Living sparsely should it occur is still and always far more valuable than dreading living. Money may protect you from the riffraff, but the riffraff teaches you adaptability and resourcefulness and offers far more soulful companionship.

These are not the actions of regular Democrats. It is progressives who are the enemies.
While many progressives are Democrats (though most are Communists or Socialists), most Democrats are not progressives, but are a little closer to center.
We are being fooled into thinking it is: R vs. D. The truth is that it is: Progressives against Americans.
